There was deep beauty here; two people who, beyond adoring one another, beyond knowing every corner of one another, find safety in creating a space to tackle their successes and sorrows together. There were two families coming together to be one harmonized force. There were exquisite words, a love for literature, old vintage books, vegan cuisine, playfulness, powerfulness and perseverance. There was a giddy bride, a poetic groom and lots and lots of celebratory sweat left behind on a tiny toasty courtyard. There was bittersweet bravery in watching a suffering father applaud his daughter the entire way down the aisle. Choosing her, choosing pride, choosing presence over any and everything else. There was a full and palpable grasp on the expansive spectrum of what love entails. So so tender and also so resolute. There were cobble stone lined streets and sparkly sneakers and two very remarkable people facing outward that day. Congratulations Sarita + Connor. Your delight was our delight.
